IGWE | MERCY CHINWO (Meaning)

Some years back, when I was serving in Katsina State in Nigeria. We were about going for Community Development Services, commonly known as CDS, that this very song ministered to me. It was as if I had a personal encounter with my saviour, Jesus Christ.

I declare on that very day that the only true IGWE or KING is the LORD. He is the only God and there is nothing to hard for Him to do. Even impossibilities are nothing before the LORD.

However, Igwe is a gospel song by Mercy Chinwo that gives praise and honor to God. The word Igwe means “King” in Igbo, a Nigerian language.

This song is a declaration of God’s greatness and sovereignty, recognizing Him as the highest King above all others.
