Fasting seems strenuous to some people, it involves restricting your food intake for certain periods of time. Many people fast due to certain religious practices or just to lose weight but whatever be your reason, fasting is good for your health and has umpteen health benefits. So, if you want to fast, then follow these healthy tips that will help you to fast safely and stay healthy.

HYDRATE YOURSELF

You should increase the intake of water as fasting for longer periods may increase your risk of side effects such as dehydration, fainting or dizziness.

MEDITATE

When you avoid eating during fasts, it can be bit difficult and therefore, you need something that will deviate your mind from hunger. Meditation is a low intensity activity, which will help in distracting your mind from those hunger pangs and make your fast days easier.

GET ENOUGH SLEEP

You should get enough sleep as fasting may seem tiring to some individuals. Getting a good nap will increase your energy to work throughout the day.
