Daily Devotion: Work Hard

Work Hard? God wants us to work hard and do our best in everything. According to the book of Colossians 3:23 which says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for people.” This means that no matter what job we have, we should do it as if we are doing it for God.

Hard work is important because it helps us grow, provide for our needs and bless others. When we work with dedication and honesty, we bring glory to God.

Laziness does not please God but diligence leads to success and blessings. Also, the book of Proverbs 10:4 says, “Lazy hands make a person poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.”

Working hard does not mean we rely only on our own strength. We should always ask God for wisdom and guidance. He gives us the strength to keep going even when things are difficult.

Furthermore, we should also use our work to help others. Whether in school, at home or at a job, we can be an example of faithfulness and kindness.

Daily Devotion: Work Hard

However, as a believer, how do we “WORK HARD”? My anchor scripture says; “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it; except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” Psalms 127:1

It is a proverbial saying that hard work pays. According to the sripture above the only hard work that pays is the one approved by the LORD.

It is only God who is an expert builder; remember that He is the creator who created the heavens and the earth. Therefore, He knows the best materials to use to build a strong edifice.

Our life is also likened to a building, hence it takes God to build a God success life. There are many secured places that have been broken into by robbers; there are many lives invaded by the devil even though they were keeping a watchful eye.

All these watchful equipment or people can go to sleep but the LORD never sleeps. The choice is yours – either you depend on Christ to build you up and keep watch over you or you depend on your own ability and fail.

Work Hard for your salvation my beloved. My dear reader, what did you learn from the message above?
