Daily Devotion: Walk In Love

Walk In Love? As faithful Christians, God calls us to live in love every day. Ephesians 5:2 says, “Walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us.” This means we should love others the way Jesus loves us. He loved us fully, unselfishly and with kindness.

Walking in love means treating people with respect, patience and forgiveness. Sometimes, it is easy to love those who are kind to us but God wants us to love even those who are difficult.

Jesus showed this love when He forgave those who hurt Him. When we love others, we show that we belong to God. Love is not just words; it is also actions.

Helping someone in need, encouraging a friend or forgiving someone who has wronged us are ways to walk in love. The more we love, the more we reflect God’s heart.

It’s important to know, love brings peace and unity. It helps us to live joyfully and strengthens our relationships. When we walk in love, we make the world a better place and bring glory to God.

Daily Devotion: Walk In Love

My anchor scripture says; “And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.” Ephesians 3:2

The opening scripture above instructs God’s children to walk in love. It means putting love to work; that is, acting on the love of God.

He told us how to act on love: even as Christ had loved us. Christ Jesus sacrificed His life for us and we need to sacrifice for one another.

A good aroma God wants to smell daily is our sacrifice for one another. We should feel the pain or suffering of the brethren even as we in the joy or rewards.

We should have compassion for the weak and poor in our midst and minister to their needs as well. My dear reader, how far do you sacrifice for the brethren?
