Daily Devotion: Quick Reminder?

Daily Devotion: Quick Reminder? As a faithful believer, you are aware that sometimes life can be busy and we sometimes forget important truths from God’s Word.

Here is a quick reminder: God loves you, He is with you and He has a good plan for your life.  First, remember that God loves you.

No matter what happens, His love never changes. In the book of Romans 8:39 it says, “Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Even when you make mistakes, His love remains strong.

Second, God is always with you. You are never alone. In the book of Isaiah 41:10, God says, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” When life is difficult, trust that He is by your side, giving you strength.

Third, God has a plan for your life. In the book of Jeremiah 29:11 it says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.” Trust His plan even when things don’t make sense.

Check out my anchor scripture which reads; “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9

God had already told Joshua to be strong and courageous in Joshua 1:7. In verse 9 He had to remind Joshua again to be strong and courageous because Joshua had forgotten what God had told him in verse 7.

Moses was gone from the scene and God replaced him with Joshua; Joshua did not believe that he could do it-he was still living in shock at the sudden demise of Moses.

It happens when a person loses a dear one all of a sudden. When the Word of God came to Joshua the second time, he believed it and was able to lead the Israelites to the promised land.

My dear reader, the Word of God is also telling you to be strong and courageous to accomplish the task He has assigned to you.

Don’t be afraid, for the Holy Ghost is with you. Praise the Lord!
