Daily Devotion: Easy Battle

Daily Devotion: easy battle? As a believer, you’re fully aware that this life is full of battles, but for those who trust in God, victory is assured.

Many times we struggle with challenges like sickness, fear or financial problems. These battles may seem too big to us but nothing is too hard for God, our maker.

He is all-powerful and when we trust Him, He makes our battles easier. In the book of Exodus 14:14 it says, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

For us Christians, it’s important to know that praise & worship, prayer, faith and obedience are our weapons.

Instead of worrying, we should praise Him, pray and believe that God will handle the situation. When we put our trust in Him, He gives us peace and strength.

With that said, the battle becomes easy when we remember that God is in control. No matter what we face, He has already won the victory through Jesus.

Now, my anchor scripture reads; “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.” 2 Chronicles 20:17

There are different battles to fight as a child of God, but the good news is that it is not all these battles we should spend our time fighting.

The opening scripture throws light on it; King Jehoshaphat was threatened by Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir.

The LORD gave the king a strategy to raise singers to lead the king and his army to battle. When the singers began to worship God, God confounded the enemies to fight against themselves until they had destroyed themselves.

The Christian is encouraged to develop a lifestyle of praise and worship so the Lord can fight for you. Our battles are easy because the battles are the LORD’s and not ours. My dear reader, how do you find your battles?
