One thing I’ve seeking from God, which I strongly believe, will come to pass is the opportunity to testify His goodness upon my life in a colourful way.
I want to tell the world that our God lives and He’s constantly in charge of our affairs. I want people, especially believers, to know how He took me from the dirty gutter to greatness. I want them to know that I’m an overcomer.
“I OVERCAME” is a powerful gospel song by ADA EHI . Ada Ogochukwu Ehi, also simply known by her stage name Ada, is a talented Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, recording and performing artist.
However, this ministarion is all about victory through Jesus Christ. Minister Ada Ehi is singing from the heart, saying that no matter what challenges or battles she faces in life, she has already won not because of her own strength but because of what Jesus did for her on the cross.
The title “I Overcame” means “I won” or “I defeated something.” And she’s not just talking about small things, she’s talking about big problems like fear, sin, failure, sickness and even death.
She’s saying that Jesus already fought the biggest fight and won it, and because of that, she can also walk in victory.
It’s like being on a team where the captain already won the game for you and now you just have to celebrate and live in that victory.
Throughout the song, she talks about how Jesus gave her this victory. He was crucified, He died, and He rose again, and through all of that, He made a way for her (and us too) to live free, to have peace and to not be afraid of anything.
She even sings things like, “We have the victory,” and “Alleluja,” which is a joyful word that means “Praise the Lord.”
She’s not pretending that life is always easy. But she’s reminding us that even when life is hard, we’re not defeated.
God’s power is greater than anything we’re going through. So, we can sing with confidence that we’ve overcome.
This song is really meant to lift your spirit. It’s a declaration, a bold one. When you sing “I overcame,” you’re reminding yourself that fear, doubt, shame and pain don’t have the final say. Jesus does and He already won.
In summary, what sister Ada is saying is “I’m not a loser, I’m not broken and I’m not afraid anymore.
Because of Jesus, I’ve already won, no matter what I see or feel. I have the victory because He gave it to me.”
It’s a powerful, joyful, and faith-filled song that encourages you to walk in your identity as a child of God who is victorious.
